Arrowhead® 100% Mountain Spring Water provides necessary drinking water after Colorado water system gets struck by lightning

Cases of Arrowhead® 100% Mountain Spring Water along with flavored bottled water are available to residents of Florissant, Colorado after the town’s water system was struck by lightning.

When a lightning strike damaged the Florissant Water and Sewer Treatment Plant’s computer system and well pump in Florissant, Colorado, it left residents and businesses without water for almost a week. Workers were able to tank in water to replenish the town’s holding tank which sends water to homes and businesses but for drinking water purposes, they needed additional help.

Tim Harper, the system operator at the Florissant Water and Sewer Treatment Plant reached out to BlueTriton Brands to ask if we can donate bottled drinking water to residents, and we moved into gear quickly. 450 cases of Arrowhead® 100% Mountain Spring Water along with other flavored bottled water was donated.

“I’m not sure where we would be if you didn’t donate,” Tim Harper said. “We put out messages to town residents to pick up free water. For those who are elderly, we would deliver water to them.”

On the Florissant Water and Sewer District’s website, a memo was posted urging residents to redeem free drinking water.

“BlueTriton Brands is committed to being a good neighbor in our communities,” said Jeremy Allenbaugh, BlueTriton Brands Spring Specialist. “We are glad to be able to provide families in the Town of Florissant with healthy hydration through our bottled spring water donation.”
