BlueTriton Brands, through its Ice Mountain® 100% Natural Spring Water brand, has funded a $5,000 project to install a water fountain along a popular running, walking and biking trail in Evart, Michigan.

The drinking fountain which provides water accessibility to the public is designed for children, adults, -- even dogs and includes a refillable bottle station.

The fountain is located outside the Evart City Hall, in a historic train depot. The depot sits along the Pere Marquette Rails to Trails which is 30 miles of paved, flat, scenic trail located between Midland and Clare, Michigan. It’s recognized as one of the twenty-five Rails to Trail Conservancy Hall of Fame trails in the United States.

Todd Bruggema, Evart Michigan Main Street and Downtown Development Authority Director said, “The depot is a natural stopping and starting place to enjoy the trail. It’s the perfect place for the fountain and a great addition to our City. Thank you to Ice Mountain® for their generous support so people of all ages and their four-legged companions can enjoy it.”

Bruggema brought his vision of the fountain to the Ice Mountain® brand. The City of Evart’s Department of Public Works provided the staff and expertise to install the fountain.

Arlene Anderson-Vincent, Natural Resources Manager with BlueTriton Brands said, “the City of Evart Downtown Development Authority wanted to promote use of the trail. This is a great way to support getting outdoors, being active, and staying hydrated.  We loved the idea and were pleased to help fund it in a community that means so much to us.”
