Ozarka® Brand sponsors largest cleanup event in Texas

Thousands of volunteers collected roughly 75 tons of trash during the 2023 Trash Bash® event this year.

BlueTriton Brands through its Ozarka® 100% Natural Spring Water and Pure Life® Purified Water brands, donated more than 8,600 bottles of water to the 2023 Rivers, Lakes, Bays 'N Bayous Trash Bash® (Trash Bash®) this year. The water was donated by the Pasadena bottling factory in Texas.

“Each year, we are so grateful for Ozarka’s water donation.  Our cleanup volunteers work so hard and rely on this water to stay healthy and hydrated.  We truly value our partnership with Ozarka,” said Lori Traweek, president of the nonprofit Texas Conservation Fund, which manages Trash Bash® with administrative support by the Houston-Galveston Area Council, Gulf Coast Authority, and a volunteer steering committee.

In five hours, 2,600 volunteers collected almost 75 tons of trash including two tons of recyclable materials, and 336 tires while cleaning 117 miles of shoreline at 14 locations across the Galveston Bay watershed in the greater Houston area in Texas.

This year, about half of the volunteers were under the age of 18 years old and about 20% were Boys and Girls Scouts.

In its 29th year, Trash Bash® is the largest, single-date waterway cleanup in Texas. The Ozarka® Brand was also a platinum sponsor of the event.

Volunteers collected illegally dumped tires and debris during the cleanup event in Texas.
