BlueTriton Brands donates over 17,000 cases of bottled water in wake of Hurricane Ian

Cases of bottled water are loaded onto a flatbed truck and delivered to our partners

BlueTriton Brands, through its Zephyrhills® Brand and Pure Life® Brand teams donated more than 17,000 cases of bottled water to Fort Myers, Florida and surrounding areas in early October. Hurricane Ian hit parts of Florida as a Category 4 on September 28, 2022, causing immeasurable damage.

To support ongoing relief efforts, we proudly partnered with Convoy of Hope, Midwest Food Bank via Americares and One More Child to ensure cases of bottled water reached residents most affected by the hurricane. We anticipate there will be future water contributions.

Organizers with One More Child were able to send our bottled water to two different locations. The first location was in Wauchula, Florida to assist families with badly damaged homes. The water was packaged with food and hygiene products by One More Child to meet immediate needs. Water was also delivered to Fort Myers Hospital. Doctors and nurses were working despite their homes being damaged. Many of them were working with little to no access to water or food.

Through our partnership with Americares, we were able to send more than 5,000 cases of our Zephyrhills® Brand directly to the Midwest Food Bank in Fort Myers, Florida. In addition, BlueTriton donated 600 cases to Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) who partnered with Next Level Church of Fort Myers to distribute water and supplies. More than 10,000 cases of Pure Life® water were distributed by Convoy of Hope to help Florida residents recover from Hurricane Ian’s devastation.

BlueTriton’s local factory teams also donated bottled water including 1,260 cases of Zephyrhills® water to the Florida Baptist Children’s House of Fort Myers.

“Water was one of the most urgent needs in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian,” said Americares U.S. Director of Emergency Response Mariel Fonteyn. “A month after the storm Fort Myers Beach residents were still under a mandatory boil water notice. Working in partnership with BlueTriton we were able to provide survivors with thousands of bottles of water for cooking and drinking in a time of crisis.”

BlueTriton Brands is committed to supporting our communities and supplying bottled water to humanitarian relief efforts. Our history of humanitarianism inspires us today to be a force for good for our communities and our planet.
