Long Term Monitoring
BlueTriton has one of the most comprehensive datasets on spring water in Canada. Across our water sources in Ontario and British Columbia, we’ve established numerous monitoring points. These points track groundwater levels, surface water elevations, wetlands health, ecological habitats, and wildlife. Our team collects data continuously (i.e., hourly), employing both manual and electronic methods. This information is entered into site-specific databases, enabling us to effectively manage our spring resources — today and in the future.

Friends of Mill Creek
BlueTriton’s annual donation supports the Friends of Mill Creek in their efforts to rehabilitate fisheries and streams. This encompasses activities such as stream bank reconstruction, stream regrading, tree planting, culvert replacement, and fencing repair. The Mill Creek Stewardship Ranger Program oversees this work, consisting of four or five local high school students working alongside a crew leader throughout the summer.

Funding Groundwater Research at University of Guelph
BlueTriton and its predecessor were pioneers in supporting the University of Guelph’s G360 program, serving as its primary and largest funder. Our commitment of $1 million in funding over five years catalyzed increased stakeholder engagement and research collaboration, resulting in a $4.5 million project that aims to advance groundwater research in Southern Wellington County, notably benefitting communities such as Erin and Puslinch.
