Watersheds We Help Protect

Texas

BlueTriton has been a proud community partner, environmental steward, and employer in Texas for over 34 years. We responsibly manage three spring sites, including 9,800 acres of surrounding watershed and forest land, that support four factory locations, over 700 employees, their families, and communities - not to mention all our suppliers, service vendors, and transportation partners.

Our current spring sites are located within the Pine Belt of the Interior Coastal Plains of the Texas Gulf Coast Province. Our land management practices provide nature-based solutions for water quality, quantity, timber harvest, reforestation, erosion control, biological and ecological habitat improvement.  We have conducted over 300-acres of restoration in the last two years with over 300,000 seedlings planted.

The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University and BlueTriton Brands (BlueTriton) has launched an expanded three-year partnership to continue working together to ensure the long-term sustainability of Texas’ water resources. Building on the successes of their five-year partnership, BlueTriton and the Meadows Center will scale community science efforts across the state and enhance sustainability education on-site at Spring Lake in San Marcos.

  • BlueTriton sponsors largest cleanup event in Texas

BlueTriton sponsored the 2023 Rivers, Lakes, Bays 'N Bayous Trash Bash® (Trash Bash®), the largest, single-date waterway cleanup in Texas. In five hours, 2,600 volunteers collected almost 75 tons of trash including two tons of recyclable materials, and 336 tires while cleaning 117 miles of shoreline at 14 locations across the Galveston Bay watershed in the greater Houston area in Texas.

  • DigDeep Launches the Colonias Water Project to Address the Hidden Water Crisis in Texas

BlueTriton provided a large percentage of the initial funding for the Colonias Water Project led by DigDeep, which works to bring clean running water to families living in communities along the Texas-Mexico border. This is an investment in longer-term and more sustainable water access solutions so that Cochran residents do not need to rely on bottled water for all of their basic needs, and is in keeping with the Ozarka® Brand’s history of being a good neighbor in Texas.

  • BlueTriton invests to bring running water to Texas communities

BlueTriton has committed to donating $1.1 million over the next two years to DigDeep’s Colonias Water Project, which is bringing clean running water to families living in under-resourced communities along the Texas-Mexico border. The Texas colonias are located outside city limits and often lack basic infrastructure, including water, sanitation, trash services and streetlamps.
