BlueTriton Brands employees pick up litter along highway for annual clean-up event

For more than 10 years, dozens of BlueTriton Brands employees volunteered their time for the Clean Up Madison County event

BlueTriton Brands employees spent a Friday morning in March picking up trash along a busy stretch of roadway in Madison County, Florida. The weather cooperated with a light breeze, sunny skies and temperatures hitting the 80-degree mark.

The team started the cleanup effort in front of the Zephyrhills® bottling facility on State Road 6 from Withlacoochee River at Madison Blue Springs to County Road 255 in Lee, Florida.

Chris and Rose Bracknell volunteered their time for the Clean Up Madison County event. Chris is the warehouse manager at the Zephyrhills® bottling facility and his wife joined the group to assist in clean-up efforts.

The team picked up more than 30 bags of trash including paper, soda cans, plastic cups, tires, coolers, cardboard boxes, and tin.

“20 employees joined in a group effort to clean up debris in front of the Madison factory, including three miles of State Route 6. I’m always proud of this team for volunteering to give back to the community where we work and live,” said Laine Tuten, BlueTriton Brands Factory Manager.

The event brings out more than 150 volunteers who collected more than 2.27 tons of trash throughout the Madison County community.

Gregg Callanan, Demetrius Duncan and Paul Webb use a golf cart to cover more ground during the Clean Up Madison County event.
