Poland Spring® makes charitable donation to repair historic Maine buildings
Poland Heritage Day celebrates the growing community and rich history of Poland, Maine. The celebration is held each year on the grounds of the Poland Spring Resort & Preservation Park. This year marked its 15th year anniversary.
BlueTriton Brands, owner of the Poland Spring® Brand made a $200,000 charitable donation to benefit the Poland Spring Preservation Society and its efforts to repair and maintain the historic 1893 Maine State Building and All Souls Chapel, both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
“Restoring and maintaining these buildings is vital to preserving their history which dates back over a century,” says Heather Printup, Sr. Manager, Community Relations for BlueTriton Brands. “They are a centerpiece of Poland’s heritage and BlueTriton Brands is proud to support the work done by the Maine Preservation Society.”
More than 35 local non-profits and vendors had booths and displays, illuminating the vibrant Poland community and celebrating the town’s storied part in Maine history. Visitors also enjoyed activities for all ages including live music, bounce houses, trolley rides, historic tours and fair games created by the Poland Recreation Department.
