EXPLORE THE WATERSHEDS WE HELP PROTECT

BlueTriton’s Water & Watershed Footprint in 2023

BlueTriton responsibly manages natural capital assets across North America, including springs, watershed and wetlands area, forests, and water infrastructure. We take pride in overseeing our directly managed supply chain, working to achieve high standards of water stewardship and quality control. Our natural capital comprises over 50 springs, with over 40 springs and 20,000 acres of watershed land directly and responsibly managed by our Natural Resources Team. As indicated on the map, some of these springs are owned by BlueTriton, while others are co-owned, leased from third parties, or indirect suppliers. Water sources owned and/or managed by BlueTriton are subject to withdrawal limits and in many cases, other requirements. To ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements, our sources are managed by a specialized Natural Resource Team.

Footnotes:

  1. Conserved Acres represents the total land under management by BlueTriton where the natural environment is protected through the responsible management, development, and use of natural resources.

  2. Total Acres represents the total land under management by BlueTriton, including watersheds and wetlands.

  3. Annual Withdrawals represent the total volume of freshwater withdrawn from spring sources during the reporting period.

  4. Water Stress is an aggregate measure of basin physical risk which combines water scarcity, flooding, water quality and ecosystem services status. Water stress is calculated for each region using the WWF Water Risk Filter Tool

  5. % Annual Watershed Precipitation means the amount of water that falls on an appropriately defined amount of land (e.g., watershed) that is relevant to a specific spring source in a year.
